Strategies[]

  • It is suggested to attack him from the sides, as he then can't attack you with his jaws and he cannot slam you with his tail.
  • Whenever he starts flying, it means that he is either preparing his air beam attack or that he is doing a drop. It is recommended to get away from the center immediately as the laser can one shot you or use a mount to get behind a shield faster.
  • There are some classes recommended for this boss due to their output:
    • Spirit Archer is a good way to defeat him. Just hit-and-run and make sure to keep distance with him. As he can't perform any attacks until he reaches you, so does the Dragon Slam. It also works with most of the bosses.
    • Berserker is also a good class due to the raw skill DPS. However the boss will attack as you are very close.

Trivia[]

  • "Ignis" translates to "fire" in Latin.
  • Ignis' model is recycled from Winterfall, Ice Dragon.
  • This is the first tower final boss added into the game.
  • It is confirmed that Ignis' spouse is Winterfall from Winter Dungeon.
  • Ignis has a son named Ignah, which appears as an open world boss in World 7 (Mezuvia Skylands). And a daughter named Wintera, which appears in Vane, Mother of Dragon's raid event.
  • The shields are similar to Firebane, but different coloring.
  • Initially, only three shields appeared in the game, and once all three shields have been destroyed, there is no way to avoid Ignis' slam attack. This has since been changed so that players have unlimited shields.
    • You could be able to survive the slam attack by timing the shield with Paladin or Warlord before that change. Currently, you can no longer survive it as it'll instantly kill the player.
  • Ignis appears in 8th Annual Bloxys award as a minor antagonist. During that clip, we can see him chasing JParty and Rovi23 after JParty got the Meta shard from Ignis himself, enraged him during the process.
    • Ignis also seems to be the only character holding a Meta Shard that is hostile in the show.
