Class Details
|
The Hunter class is a Mastery class unlocked by defeating 200 level 100+ dungeon bosses as a Spirit Archer. Alternatively, it can be purchased at any level for 1399.
Overview[]
The Hunter class is highly reliable for damage support in multiplayer game, also good in solo due to its special abilities.
One of the most unique abilities the Hunter has is to turn an enemy mob into a player's familiar, which can help assist the master in battle. The familiar will keeps its special ability assuming the familiar has one. Familiars are similar to the Summoner's Greater Summon, which is very useful for damage and distraction.
Once a player captures a mob and tames it as a familiar, they can keep the familiar forever until player decides to remove it, which can be done by pressing the "Release" button above the Tame Familiar ability icon. Once it's released, the player needs to tame another mob in order to have a new familiar. Familiars still remain even if the player has a different class equipped.
However, some of the mobs are not tamable if they have unique abilities or being immobilized.
The Hunter class's other skills are mainly used to support and deal great AoE damage. Combining Blazing Shot and Venom Trap, players can easily wipe out most small mobs in seconds with the help of familiars. Venom Trap can also be used to stall bosses for a short amount of time. Divine Arrow can be used during boss battles to maintain the familiar (and the caster itself)'s health .
Tips and Tricks[]
- Try taming a mob with high potential such as high DPS, like an Mini Golem, or the Dragon spawns in Vane's Boss Raid event.
- Note that since the Vane's Boss raid Event has ended, removing the dragon familiar will cause it to be permanently lost unless the event returns in the future. So, consider carefully if you decide to change a familiar.
- Grouping mobs with familiars or players themselves can increase the efficiency of Blazing Shot and Venom Trap since all of them deal AoE damage.
- As long as the familiar is alive, keep using the Tame Familiar skill to increase its attack power.

Trivia[]
- This is the third class to summon entities, after Summoner and Necromancer.
- Upon unlocking this class, players will receive a Boarwolf as their default familiar.
- Players can tame a Greater Summon as their familiar. This can be done by attacking the Greater Summon in World 10.
- However, the con is that it needs to finish the summoning animation (same as Summoner's greater summon ability) before it can attack. The summons will automatically despawn after a while, just like how normal Summoner's ability works.
- Due to the fact that the familiar uses the enemies' damage formula, familiars will also receive the damage buff when doing a dungeon with challenge mode on. This is most likely an oversight.
- Green/Red/Blue/Aether dragons in Vane's Lair are currently the only three Event mobs to be tamable.
