Equipment Chests are chests given from quests, battlepasses, and event hubs. When claimed, an equipment chest rewards the player with a random piece of equipment between Tier 1 and Tier 5 from any world at their level. When claimed from a quest, the player receives equipment from the quest's specified world up to the world's maximum level.
As of World 6 onwards, the chests has no Tier 1 and Tier 2. However, the chests reward Tier 3 and Tier 5 instead.
Armor/Weapon Chest
Armor and Weapon Chests are given from a small number of side quests in World 5, World 6, and World 7. When claimed, they reward the player with a random piece of equipment between Tier 1 and Tier 4 from the specified world and item type at their level, up to the world's maximum level.
These chests are no longer used in newer quests, likely due to their redundant purpose of rewarding only either armor or weapons and the exclusion of Tier 5 equipment.
Super Equipment Chest
Super Equipment Chests are given from quests, battlepasses, and Boss Floor rewards from the Celestial Tower and Infinite Tower. When claimed, it rewards the player with a random Tier 4 or 5 equipment from any world at their level. Super Equipment Chests have a doubled drop rate for Tier 5 equipment, although the base rate it is derived from is unknown.
Trivia
- Equipment, Armor, and Weapon Chests only reward Tier 3 - 5 equipment from worlds after World 5, as Tiers 1 - 2 were discontinued for armor and weapon drops in those worlds.
- World Events display a Weapon Chest as a reward for completion, but can only drop Tier 1 - 4 equipment of any type once completed.
- The Level 2 Weapon Chest in the "Defeat 5 Boarwolves" quest in World 1 is the only quest that rewards an item with a specific level.
- Unlike chests in dungeons, towers, and world events, Equipment Chests automatically place the item into the player's inventory without the item splash screen.
- A version of the Equipment Chest's 3D model with rough textures can be seen in the Spooky Courtyard's obstacle course.
