This page is a database of open-world enemies. For information on dungeon and tower enemies, see Dungeons.
Enemies are entities that will seek out and attack the player. All enemies have an "aggro range", a radius where the enemy will detect the player and attempt to attack if the player is within range of the attack. There are two main types of enemies: mobs and bosses.
Appearance[]
Mobs have name tags similar to that of the player with a red health meter. When following a player, the name tag will flash red. Elite mobs will have a purple health bar and the word "ELITE" in purple below their level.
Bosses have a unique health bar that stays at the top of the screen when the player is within a certain distance from the boss. The health bar is split into six sections rather than four and indicates whether the boss is a "Miniboss" or "Event Boss".
For more information about Elites and Bosses, see Elites and Bosses.
Behavior[]
When a player attacks an enemy or approaches it within its aggro range, it will attempt to walk directly towards the player, ignoring any potential obstruction in its path, which includes other enemies. Enemies will attempt to perform its attack while standing still when the player is within their attack's range. When killed, enemies will produce a death effect (red for mobs, blue for bosses and minibosses) and drop loot unless spawned by another enemy, such as Snow Raptors in Mountain Pass. Depending on their size, some enemies can push slower or idle enemies closer to the player.
Enemies in open worlds spawn from invisible tiles in the player's render distance, wandering around the center of their tile without a target until a player draws their attention from within a certain range. When killed, open world enemies will respawn after a set amount of time, typically being 15 seconds. If a player moves approximately 200 studs away from an enemy, it will automatically despawn.
Bosses take 90% less damage from Status Effects compared to mobs and players and are immune to the Spirit Debuff inflicted by Spirit Archer's Piercing Arrow.
