Emotes are cosmetic items that can be used by players to express attitudes or play actions with their character. Most emotes are obtained during events, but some can be purchased in the Cash Shop. All emotes are untradeable.

Players can equip emotes by placing them in their character's Emote slots. They can then be activated by sheathing their weapons and pressing 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 with a keyboard or the emote buttons on mobile or with a cursor. Emotes have a 0.25 second cooldown after starting or stopping an emote and the player is unable to move or use skills while using an emote.

Trivia[]

  • All equipped emotes display the description "no-desc" when hovered over with a cursor in the hotbar.
    • Additionally, all default emotes display the name "no-name" instead of their item names.
  • Many emotes have small variations in their icons:
    • Most emotes added in the 2022 Festive Event and before the 2022 Sinister Event use the same hair style on the default Swordmaster character.
    • The Dance 1 icon shows a character wearing the Cavalry Armor (Evolved) while using the hair style on the default Mage of Light character.
    • The Hero Float icon shows a character wearing the Hero Cape.
    • The character has a thin black outline in the Disco Dance Present Throne, Flower Throne, and Hero Float icons to improve clarity.
    • Sit and Hero Landing have a more saturated blue background.
  • The default emotes cannot be obtained as inventory items.
  • Sit is the only emote that changes the character's hip height, making them fall down rather than teleport or animate into position.
    • Sit is also the only emote with a single animation frame.
  • Disco Dance uses the same animation as Break Dance.
  • Break Dance was formerly named "Dance 2" and was the default emote for slot 5, with Dance 1 taking up slot 4. It was turned into a purchasable Tier 3 emote in an update on April 14, 2023.[1]
  • Before emotes were added as an officially supported feature, Dance 1 and Break Dance could be activated by pressing the N or M keys, regardless of whether the player's weapons were sheathed. This function was removed in the Guild Season 3 update (January 21, 2022).[2]
    • Sit was accessible by pressing Y until it was turned into a default emote on April 14, 2023.[1]
